About Lindsey

Hello and welcome. My name is Lindsey Miller and I am a Somatic Expression Specialist, founder of MYLLR and the creator of Conscious Voiceβ„’.

I've spent much of my life fascinated by expression - not simply artistic expression, but the countless ways we reveal ourselves without meaning to.

A voice that catches when emotion arrives. A body that tightens before the mind understands why. The silence that says more than conversation ever could. The feeling that someone is truly present, even before they've spoken a word.

Looking back, I can see that almost everything I've done has been an exploration of that same fascination.

For more than sixteen years I worked as a musical director, conductor and composer, collaborating with actors, singers and musicians in theatres across the UK and internationally, including the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre. My work was never just about music. It was about creating the conditions in which people felt safe enough to tell the truth - their truth. The performances that stayed with me weren't always the most technically accomplished. They were the ones where something shifted - where an actor stopped trying to perform and something undeniably human emerged.

Away from the theatre, life continued asking the same questions in very different ways.

Living in North Korea confronted me with the power of culture, identity and the stories we inherit about ourselves. Years spent in Taiwan and Thailand introduced me to Eastern contemplative philosophies that have been exploring awareness, presence and the nature of human experience for thousands of years. Meditation became a daily practice. Later came Reiki, breathwork and Spinal Energetics, each offering another perspective on the relationship between the body, the nervous system and consciousness.

At the time, these experiences felt unrelated.

Now, they feel like different paths leading to the same place.

Each taught me something about what happens when we become more present within ourselves. Each revealed that the way we move, breathe, sound, connect and respond is never accidental. Our lives are constantly expressing something, often long before we become aware of it.

That understanding became the foundation of MYLLR.

Although people often discover my work through Spinal Energetics, Reiki or Conscious Voiceβ„’, I don't experience these as separate disciplines. To me, they are different ways of exploring the same landscape. Sometimes we begin with the body. Sometimes with breath. Sometimes with stillness. Sometimes with sound. The doorway changes, but the enquiry remains the same.

At the heart of everything I offer is a simple belief: awareness changes experience.

When we become aware of how we are breathing, moving, speaking and relating, something begins to soften. We stop reacting automatically. We become curious instead of critical. We begin to experience ourselves differently - not because someone has fixed us, but because we've started listening more deeply.

That philosophy eventually led me to create Conscious Voiceβ„’.

Conscious Voiceβ„’

After years of working professionally with singers and actors, I realised I was becoming less interested in helping people develop a stronger or more beautiful voice and more interested in what the voice revealed. At the same time, my study of contemplative philosophy, somatic practice and nervous system regulation was deepening my understanding of awareness itself.

Many Eastern traditions describe awareness not as something we achieve, but as something we remember. They invite us to observe experience before trying to change it, trusting that attention itself has the power to transform the way we relate to ourselves. Although Conscious Voiceβ„’ doesn't belong to any one tradition, it has been profoundly shaped by these ideas and by my own years of bringing them into conversation with theatre, music and embodied practice.

Conscious Voiceβ„’ is the result.

It is an original methodology that explores the relationship between awareness, breath, movement and sound. Rather than approaching the voice as something to train or perfect, it invites us to become curious about what our voice is already expressing. Through movement, resonance, breath and deep listening, we begin to discover what becomes possible when sound is no longer something we manufacture, but something we allow.

Again and again, I witness people encountering a version of themselves that feels both unfamiliar and deeply recognisable. Not because they have become someone new, but because, for a moment, they have stopped trying to perform.

A Final Note

Whether we're working together through Conscious Voiceβ„’, Spinal Energetics, Reiki, meditation or breathwork, my intention is always the same: to create a space where awareness can deepen, where expression can become more honest, and where people can experience what it feels like to inhabit themselves a little more fully.

I don't believe transformation is about becoming someone new. I believe it's about removing everything that was never truly you.

Everything I create is an invitation to begin that process. Let’s begin.
